Most popular LG cell phone: the LG Cookie

The LG Cookie is the company's most popular cell phone and for good reason, it is a high quality phone that comes with a low price tag. This is an area that LG specializes in and they have done it very well here. Certainly comprises had to be made to keep the price down but those compromises were made in the right areas.

We will admit right up front that a big part of the reason that the LG Cookie is so popular is that it has a cost that is quite a bit lower than most of its competitors. This makes it ideal for people who are looking for ways to save money. While the performance of the phone may not be at the same level as the very top of the line phones it is quite good and really given the price it should be considered to be outstanding.

One thing that LG has been working on over the last few years is to improve the styling of their phones and this is something that they have been successful with when it comes to the Cookie. The phone is sleek and has a nice simple look to it. The touch screen is a decent size which makes it easy to use. All in all most people find it to be quite an attractive phone.

Making calls with the Cookie is a very simple matter so we had no issues there. In addition there are loads of other features that we really liked about this phone. The QWERTY keyboard on the touch screen makes sending text messages very easy. There are also all of the other features that you would expect to find on a modern cell phone like a camera, MP3 player and even handwriting recognition software. The result is a phone that has all of the features that you would find on a more expensive phone at a price that is substantially lower.

While there are a lot of things to like about the LG Cookie there were some issues that we had that prevent us from giving it full marks. The biggest complaint is the camera which while good in terms of resolution does not have an autofocus or even a flash; this is a pretty big over sight. And while we like the QWERTY keyboard for sending text messages it does take a while to come up when you switch to text mode which is a bit of an issue.

Over all our opinion of the LG Cookie is that it is a good phone that offers good value for the money. While it probably can't compete with top of the line phones it also does not lag far behind them. Given that the price of this phone is much lower than the top phones in the market it is a good choice for anybody who is looking to save money and still get a quality phone.
